This project brought together professional creative and emotional wellbeing practitioners, outdoor education providers and physical fitness instructors to deliver a programme for 12 young Ukrainians living in Preston and South Ribble.
The project inspired and enabled the young Ukrainians to develop their physical and emotional wellbeing, whilst empowering them to develop the confidence and skills to voice their ideas, aspirations, and experiences. They also created new friendships and felt more connected to their local community.
The project culminated in the young people producing and creating a short film, encapsulating their lived experiences as young, resettled refugees and celebrated their heritage and identity through spoken word, art, music and photography.
