DETACHED YOUTH WORK PROJECT
Over the summer holidays, the Street Speak team, consisting of four amazing youth workers, led by EMEUS @ Ridge Community Centre, delivered a detached youth work programme, three nights per week in the bulk Ward area and in the city centre.
The Street Speak! project engaged local young people through detached youth work and supported them to design a range of positive and engaging activities they wanted to do during the holiday period.
They delivered a programme of workshops, social events and trips. Activities included Quad Biking at Forest Hills, Go Karting in Warrington, and Pool Playing in Lancaster.
We aspire for the programme to continue and to develop a multi-activity programme, delivered collectively by all of the Bulk Ward partners including LYC, Ridge Community Centre, Claver Hill, Gregson Institute, Active Lancashire and Central Lancaster High School.
