In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, young people often find themselves immersed in screens and disconnected from the natural world that surrounds them. It is crucial for the well-being of both individuals and the planet that young minds take the time to reconnect, reflect, and realign their place in nature. Reconnecting involves stepping away from digital devices and immersing oneself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the outdoors. Reflection allows for contemplation on the profound interconnectedness of all living things and fosters a sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship. Realignment entails understanding and adapting one’s lifestyle to be more in harmony with the natural world, fostering a sustainable and eco-conscious mindset. By embracing these practices, young people not only nourish their own mental and physical health but also contribute to a collective effort to preserve and protect the delicate balance of our planet.
In August 2023, we embarked on a week long, nature based expedition, designed to encourage the team to reconnect, reflect and realign in their place in the natural world.
