SEEKING NEW TRUSTEES 2024
We are seeking new trustees to join our award-winning charity!
We empower, enable, and inspire young people to make meaningful positive change in their lives and the wider community via a holistic, person centred programme of participatory activity and learning. Our programme ensures participants develop new skills, build confidence and resilience, and begin to feel optimistic and capable to shape the lives they wish to lead. Our approach is strength and asset-based, recognising that all young people have the potential to achieve personal success and gain new skills when given an equitable opportunity, focused encouragement, and high-quality experiences.
Our Ambition
Between 2024 and 2027 we aspire to:
- Collaborate with exemplary practitioners to provide an annual programme of high quality participatory outdoor activities, fitness & emotional wellbeing sessions, creative & cultural education projects and life skills courses for young people in Lancaster, Morecambe, Preston, Blackpool, West Lancashire, and South Ribble.
- Become more self-sufficient, resilient to change and financially robust, enabling us to thrive, not just survive!
To help us realise our ambitions we are seeking trustees with diverse lived experiences to help us enhance our networks and build meaningful relationships with social, public, and private sector organisations, donors, and sponsors to help diversify our income sources.
The Request
We are seeking Trustees with the following skills, experience, and knowledge:
- Safeguarding
- Financial governance, Accountancy and Bookkeeping
- Human Resources and People Management
- Business and Charity Law
- Marketing & Communications
